I was watching the current episode of Love & Marriage Huntsville last night (Season 6, Episode 8) and y’all…. When it got to Maurice and Kimmi’s co-parenting situation with her husband and stepson I just wanted to jump through the TV and give her a big fat hug. This woman is battling CANCER, working, slaying life and what she needs and desires more than anything is support in her home with her stepson and chores and for her husband to see the needs in advance for himself and handle them FIRST so it’s not always falling on her or her having to be the one to handle it. That list. The Top 20 list of the teen’s tasks and chores weren’t mentioned anywhere… I almost fell over ROFL laughing. Because I lived that for several years and knew exactly what she meant and how she felt. This episode just sums up really well the difference in men and women with teenage boys especially stepsons (if you’re hesitant to be the first line with a non bio child out of respect for the birth parents, etc. and Nacho a little bit like I did etc).
Definitely an episode to catch.
